ArabFinance: Egypt has installed the nations first monorail cars at the New Administrative Capital (NAC) in front of Al Masa Hotel.

This comes as part of the 6th of October celebrations.

The monorail consists of two lines running from the NAC to 6th of October City, and another one from 6th of October City to Mohandessin.

The project is part of a major overhaul of Egypts public transportation system, spanning 98.5 kilometers in length, across 35 stations.

Each monorail line will accommodate 600,000 passengers per day, with the entire trip from the beginning to the end of the NAC- 6th of October City line expected to take about 42 minutes to complete.
