Oman’s Ministry of Health has awarded the design and supervision consultancy contract for its Al Falah General Hospital in the Governorate of South Al Sharqiyah, Oman, to Al Hatmy Design & Engineering Consultancy
“The tender for the design and supervision consultancy engineering services was issued on 11 August 2022 and bid submission was scheduled on 21 September 2022. The consultancy contract was awarded on 29 November 2022,” a source aware of the details told Zawya Projects.
“The design work has not commenced as yet. They are preparing the design team and will commence the work in early January 2023. The detailed design work is expected to be completed in four months,” a second source said.
The list of commercial bidders, shared by the first source, included Arabtech Jardaneh International ($1,922,388), Ibrahim Jaidah Architects and Engineers ($4,616,404), Al Manarah Engineering Consultancy ($2,746,431), Khatib Alami and Partners ($2,297,238), Renardet SA and Partners Consulting Engineers ($3,633,349), Al Abraj Consulting Engineer and Architects ($3,807,414), Gulf Engineering Consultancy ($779,188), Consulting Engineers AAW Partners ($1,399,800), Al Amur Engineering Consultant ($2,207,846), National Engineering Office ($1,326,305), Al Hatmy Engineering Consultancy ($1,288,376), Hoehler and Partner (Undisclosed) and Capital Engineering Consulting (Undisclosed).
The scope of work involves the construction of a hospital building, parking spaces and other related infrastructure works.
The project is slated for completion by the fourth quarter of 2025, the first source said, adding that his estimate of the project cost is $60 million.
