Zighy Bay, Oman - 16 November, 2009 - Six Senses Hideaway Zighy Bay in Oman has been voted the 'World's Leading New Resort' at the Grand Final of the World Travel Awards - also known as the travel industry's 'Oscars'.

In a worldwide survey conducted by the World Travel Awards, amongst professionals in the travel and tourism industry, Zighy Bay came out top to scoop the much coveted award for best resort newcomer.

 The resort received the award at a presentation ceremony which was held in London coinciding with World Travel Market - one of the world's largest travel exhibitions . Zighy Bay triumphed over a number of worldwide luxury resorts to win this illustrious accolade.

Zighy Bay General Manager Rochelle Kilgariff, who was in London to collect the award, expressed her delight that travel industry peers recognised the resort for its five star accommodation, outstanding customer service and luxurious setting.
