Dubai, UAE, March 22, 2008: Dubai-based Zenath Group, part of the ETA Ascon Star Group, has crossed yet another milestone with the ground-breaking ceremony for setting up the region's largest medical waste incinerator at Dubai Municipality's Waste Treatment Complex in Jebel Ali.

The ceremony, held recently, was attended by Mr. Abdulla Mohammad Rafia, Assistant Director-General for Environment & Public Health Affairs, Dubai Municipality; Mr. Hassan Mohammed Makki, Director of Waste Management Department, Dubai Municipality; Mr. J.S.A. Bukhari, Executive Director, Zenath Group; Mr. Mahmood Sait, Account Manager, Zenath Recycling & Waste Management; and other top officials from both sides. Also present was Mr. Haruo Shinoda, Manager, Environment and Water Business Unit, Mitsubishi Corporation, Japan.

The incinerator, the largest of its kind in the Gulf, is being commissioned using Japanese technology by a consortium comprising of Zenath Group, Mitsubishi Corporation and latter's technology partners Plantec Inc., Japan.

Elaborating on the role played by the company in recycling and waste management, he said, "Our constant emphasis is on innovation, safety and quality."

Zenath Recycling and Waste Management LLC is one of the largest waste haulage companies in Dubai with around 2,300 containers (skips for garbage) of sizes ranging from 1.1 cubic meters to 30 cubic meters, provided to different categories of customers. The company plies over 50 heavy trucks on the roads of Dubai, catering to the waste management needs of a variety of industries.
