More Than Half of Zebra's Printer Shipments Now Outside U.S.

Vernon Hills, Ill., Sept.7, 2006-- Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: ZBRA), a global leader in on-demand printing solutions for business improvement, announced today that the company has shipped more than five million of its specialty on-demand thermal printers, with over half of the company's current orders coming from outside the United States. Zebra recently supplied Spain's Direcci?n General de Tr?fico (DGT) with RW 420 portable mobile printers. This order for 3,000 printers included the shipment of Zebra's five millionth printer, a significant milestone in Zebra corporate history.

The traffic department at Spain's Ministry of the Interior is equipping all Guardia Civil patrol cars with Zebra mobile printers, linked wirelessly to handheld computers, for issuing speeding fines, parking tickets and other traffic-related citations.
