Building Component Solutions (BCOMS), a subsidiary of Zamil Industrial Investment Company (Zamil Industrial), announced that it has entered into a technology cooperation agreement with BaySystems Pearl, the regional polyurethane system house of Bayer MaterialScience in the Middle East, to produce thermal insulation polyurethane panels.
The new cooperation aims to phase out ozone depleting blowing agents from the production of the polyurethane foams, in line with the Montreal protocols and recent UN recommendations. The partners will work intensively on developing and producing new systems that use environmentally friendly blowing agents to produce rigid polyurethane foam.
BaySystems Pearl materials contain the best thermal insulating properties of any product currently available on the market; and are used by BCOMS to produce insulation panels. Thermal insulation based on rigid polyurethane foam is also a core element of the EcoCommercial Building Program run by Bayer MaterialScience of Germany, one of the largest material development research centers in the world. Much of its research is dedicated to providing green building envelope solutions for commercial buildings in the Middle East.
The EcoCommercial Building Program offers decision makers in the construction industry access to leading experts that supply state-of-the-art solutions which are custom-tailored across the entire range of applications from analysis and planning to energy efficient materials and building technologies. It will also benefit the building owner, its tenant and the environment.
