Credit Suisse announced as Innovation Partner

Tom Peters, the internationally acclaimed management thinker, will address more than 700 senior bankers from more than 30 countries at the 13th Annual World Islamic Banking Conference (WIBC), which takes place from December 9 - 11 at the Gulf International Convention Centre in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

24 years after launching a management revolution with In Search of Excellence, Peters remains an irreverent force to be reckoned with challenging audiences across the globe to change the face of business.

His address on 11 December during the Leaders & Winning Strategies session of the Conference will focus on "Leadership and Customer Service Excellence for Competitive Advantage", an issue of critical relevance in the intensely competitive banking and finance market, where executive teams are continually searching for breakthrough strategies that will provide their bank with competitive advantage.

Supporting this focus on innovation, WIBC is also delighted to announce Credit Suisse as Innovation Partner of this year's event.

Bruno Daher, Co-CEO Middle East at Credit Suisse, said: "Credit Suisse is proud to be the Innovation Partner of the 13th Annual World Islamic Banking Conference. Being highly committed to the Middle East, Credit Suisse has long recognized the importance of Islamic finance and has created a series of investment mandates and other financial solutions that comply fully with Sharia law. The World Islamic Banking Conference provides a unique platform for the dialogue amongst the leading Islamic Banking experts and inspiring us to provide our customers with innovative solutions tailor-made to their needs."

Credit Suisse offers a broad range of investment banking and securities products and services to meet the needs of institutional clients, companies and government bodies. It provides expert advice and a comprehensive range of investment products and services tailored to the complex needs of high-net-worth individuals globally as well as private and business clients in Switzerland. Credit Suisse serves clients by offering products across the full range of investment classes, from equities, fixed income and multiple-asset class products to alternative investments.

Knowing that the needs of effective leadership change as rapidly as the volatile marketplace it supports, Peters offers audiences the inspiration to take risks and provides them with an innovator's survival guide.

Several books he has authored or co-authored include In Search of Excellence; the book was named as one of the "Top Three Business Books of the Century," and ranked as the "greatest business book of all time". In addition he has penned 11 other volumes, including A Passion for Excellence, Liberation Management, Thriving on Chaos, The Circle of Innovation, and Re-imagine! - Business Excellence in a Disruptive Age, and is one of the most valuable speakers in the fields of business strategy, innovation and leadership.

To add a regional CEO's perspective, Peters will be joined in his session by Abdulkareem Abu Alnasr, CEO of the National Commercial Bank, who will share his insights on the challenges and opportunities for innovation and customer service excellence within a major regional bank. The session will conclude with a powerful interactive Q&A session, moderated by Dina Al Salem, Program Editor & Presenter at Al Arabiya News Channel.
