International speakers to discuss planning, design & construction challenges at Cityscape Abu Dhabi for one of the most lucrative real estate investment classes
The issues and challenges affecting waterfront developers and investors alike will be discussed by a host of international experts during a comprehensive three-day Waterfront Development Conference. The dedicated event has been organised to address the complexities specific to these developments during Cityscape Abu Dhabi. The premier property development and investment event, takes place at the Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre on 8-10 May 2007.
Mark Goodchild, Project Manager, Cityscape Abu Dhabi commented, "Often with excellent rental or sales returns waterfront real estate is traditionally one of the most lucrative real estate investment classes. Whether it's a wave, a palm, a pearl, a great water city or city of silk, financial harbour or business bay, expert speakers will highlight the complex challenges these new developments have faced and impart their extensive experience to enable international best practice, region-wide."
The wide-ranging event consists of a main conference, plus two separate pre-conference workshops, devoted to marketing returns and transportation and infrastructure respectively. There is also a highly practical site visit to Aldar's 'Great Arabian Water City' - Al Raha Beach in Abu Dhabi.
On each of the three conference days, the programme will highlight project showcases, which will explore the lessons learned so far from iconic projects such as, The Wave in Oman, Kuwait's Boubyan Island and the relocation of Aqaba Port in Jordan. In addition, through a series of presentations the agenda will cover all aspects of waterfront development to be managed by planners, designers and developers. Consideration is also given to end-users with sessions on facilities management and corporate social responsibility.
