VTEL Jordan signed an agreement with Biolab , to provide a host of advanced telecommunication services through its robust fiber optic network. The signing took place at VTEL Holding's headquarter building in Wadi Saqra, between  the CEO of VTEL Holdings Majd Shweikeh and Dr. Amid Abdelnoor, CEO of Biolab.

Shweikeh expressed her joy at the signing of the agreement, saying: "Since the foundation of VTEL Jordan, we have made a commitment to supply the Jordanian market with cutting edge technologies that create substantial leaps in the way institutions operate. The signing of this agreement reflects the rise in awareness on the importance of such technologies and the effect they have on corporate performance. We appreciate the sensitive nature of the work undertaken by Biolab and we are confident that our partnership will improve the efficacy of their operations, all the while being yet another success story we add to our track record."

VTEL Jordan's General Manager Ashraf Ayyoub explained that the company will establish a network connecting Biolab's main branch with their various branches around the Kingdom, in addition to connecting their central database to a number of private hospitals and clinics to allow for instantaneous electronic information exchanges. This comprehensive network will streamline operations, allowing doctors to minimize the duration of the testing and diagnostic stages to reach the treatment stage faster. A global medical network will also be established, connecting Biolabs to leading medical consultancy centers around the world. This network will provide long-distance medical services in cases of emergency or to patients who are not able to travel outside of Jordan.

This agreement comes as part of a long-term strategy by Biolab to elevate the level of its medical services. The labs have been implementing a substantial expansion plan, establishing new branches that require a comprehensive networking infrastructure to facilitate information exchanges.

"We have taken medical and laboratory sciences in Jordan to entirely new heights - an achievement we intend to crown by further strengthening our service infrastructure to achieve the desired objectives," commented Dr. Abdelnoor . "We have managed to fully automate the follow-up procedures at our labs so that doctors and patients alike can access their results through our website or through any of our branches around the Kingdom. Seeing as our nature of work mandates strict confidentiality and expediency, we chose VTEL to implement and supervise our new networking infrastructure due to the robust technologies they use and their outstanding reputation in the field."

VTEL Jordan operates under the umbrella of VTEL Holdings, one of the leading companies in the field of telecommunications in the region. Headquartered in Amman, the company launched its services in 2010 to become one of the strongest providers of broadband connectivity in the region through its dedicated fiber optic network.

Biolab is a group of leading private medical diagnostic laboratories offering cutting edge medical technology to patients, physicians, hospitals and referring clinical laboratories.
