Doha Qatar, 19 November 2010: Vodafone Qatar announced today that the Galaxy Tab, the first Android tablet by Samsung, is available to Vodafone Qatar customers as of today in all their retail stores.
The Galaxy tablet has a 7 inch, high resolution touchscreen, with internal flash storage of 16GB that can be expanded by customers with a microSD card. A fast 1.0 Ghz CPU speed and 512MB of RAM promises to deliver a smooth performance, while 3G and Wi-Fi connectivity ensures that Vodafone customer's are always connected, no matter where they are. The tablet is run on the Android platform, which gives customers access to the massive suite of applications available on the Android Market.
The Galaxy Tab is highly versatile, and is a smartphone and personal computer merged into one. Besides the telephony and SMS/MMS capabilities, it allows customers to browse photos, surf the internet, read digital books, view high-definition video, and thanks to both rear-facing and front-facing cameras, is capable of video calling. The battery allows for almost 10 hours of talk time.

The Samsung Galaxy is immediately available at all Vodafone retail stores, and is priced at 3199QR, which includes a Welcome Pack plus Freedom 55, and a 2GB Vodafone Mobile Broadband data plan.
