Dubai, October 22, 2006: UTS Carrier, a joint venture between UTS and Carrier Corp., a unit of United Technologies Corp. (NYSE:UTX), will showcase a clutch of new generation products at Big 5, including AQUAFORCE chillers with HFC -134, UVC emitters, G3 window air conditioners, Carlye Compressors and 39F Air Handling Unit.

"Carrier's record of creating new-generation HVACR products (Heating, Ventilation, Air-Conditioning, Refrigeration) will be on view once again at the Big 5 show, as we unveil a series of products that herald new advancements in this highly specialized and challenging field," said Aftab Khan, Carrier's Managing Director of Building Systems and Services, Middle East.

The Aquaforce chillers use HFC -134, a non-ozone depleting refrigerant, and superior micro-channel coil technology that ensure higher reliability through improved corrosion resistance.

UVC emitters, which emit enough germicidal energy to penetrate submicron microbes, destroying its DNA and RNA, or killing or deactivating it, can help preventing spread of infections. UVC lights eliminate both surface organisms and airborne microbes.

Carrier will also showcase G3, the third generation window air conditioners that are equipped with a high Energy Efficiency Ratio (EER) of 8.2, which will result in 10 per cent savings in energy. The new air conditioner comes with low noise, 4-in-1 filter technology, four-way air distribution and water drip-free system.

The Big 5 will also serve as a platform for introducing Carlyle Compressors and 39F Air Handling Unit.

The seminars will target engineers and experts from sectors like property management, maintenance, hospital administrations, infectious disease control and food processing industry.
