The company launches its all new 8-port 10/100 Ethernet switch in the region, making networking as easy as plugging up a PC.
U.S.Robotics, the world’s number one provider of internet access and connectivity solutions for the small to medium businesses and home markets, today announced the release of its latest networking product: the U.S.Robotics 8-Port 10/100 Ethernet switch, which allows users to easily expand their network, through its simple 2 step installation. The product provides eight independent switch ports, with automatic speed detection (10 or 100 mbps), and auto sensing, where no crossover cables are required. It brings network speeds up to 200 Mbps (full-duplex) for streaming audio and video, multimedia presentations, and high powered software applications.

The 8 port switch allows users to save a significant amount of time, effort and money by linking all their standalone computers into an efficient high speed network. The modular design makes networking simple. The 8 port switch’s unique stackable design requires minimal space, and all eight LAN ports support auto-switching, which means that there is no need for a dedicated uplink port or crossover cable.

The product will be available starting mid December through the company’s distribution channels in the Gulf and Levant countries, in addition to Egypt and North Africa. It carries a 2 year manufacturer warranty from the date of purchase.
