Dubai, UAE - The University of Dubai (UD) will promote its new Master of Science (MSc) degree program in Information Systems Management as well as showcase its world-class academic programs and services to graduates and undergraduates, as it marks its presence at the Gulf Education and Training Exhibition (GETEX) Spring, from April 17 to 19, 2013, at the Dubai International Convention & Exhibition Centre.
The MSc program which was offered last Fall Semester through the College of Information Technology (CIT) concentrates on Information Systems Management. The program is very unique because the curriculum is based on market needs and emerging trends, covering the critical aspects of both information systems management and leadership. It was designed to reflect the opinions made by IT directors interviewed from all around the region.
Aside from the new program, UD will showcase its world-class academic programs and services including its curriculum, which follows the American system of education. In line with this objective, the Computing and Information Systems program offered by the College of Information Technology is accredited by the Computing Accreditation Commission (CAC) of ABET since October 2006.
The College of Business Administration has been accredited by the Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business (AACSB) since April 2009. Only 5% of business schools worldwide hold this prestigious accreditation. These two international accreditations position UD as one of the first university to be accredited for business and information technology programs among private universities recognized by the UAE Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.
This year's GETEX will focus on General Education, Higher Education, Vocational & Occupational Training and Professional Development. The event remains the most trusted resource for students to access academic options and gain a greater understanding of ongoing education trends, the latest addition to courses, degree programs and education-specific technology.
At GETEX, students can obtain fee structure from different college and universities and compare which best suits their budget and schedule. This is the event where they can filter their search for the best educational institution that fit their distinct set of requirements.
