Dubai distributor teams up with Pronto Networks and RoomWithNet Worldwide to showcase portfolio of hotel IT solutions

Dubai - Universal Concepts, the leading IT solutions providers for the hospitality industry, is teaming up with Pronto Networks and RoomWithNet Worldwide for this week's The Hotel Show in Dubai.

Regional distributor, Universal Concepts is exhibiting alongside its two suppliers and will be using this week's show to unveil a number of new IT products tailored to the hotel industry.

"The Hotel Show is the perfect platform for unveiling our latest products to the region's hotel industry," said Abhishek Bose, general manager, Universal Concepts.

"We will be showcasing a collection of innovative new products at this week's exhibition and expect a lot of interest from the industry as a result," he added.

For this year's Hotel Show, Universal Concepts has been working hard to introduce a number of new products to its portfolio, including the GuestHub, iControl universal remote, and mobile enterprise solutions for hotel management.

The GuestHub from Universal Concepts is a stylish unit offering 220V AC, 50Hz and 5A international mixed use sockets, eliminating the need for power adaptors. The GuestHub also provides connection sockets for stereo, video, S-video, audio, LAN and VGA, meaning that guests can plug and play a multitude of portable gadgets while on the road.

The sleek, minimalist brushed metal design means that the GuestHub blends in with any interior design concept while also making the unit hardwearing.

Available with either twin power socket or with single AV connectors, the GuestHub can be easily installed into a study desk top or wall mounted at a suitable height to make the unit user friendly.

Also new to the Universal Concepts portfolio is the iControl universal touch screen remote. Customisable to control virtually anything in the hotel room, the iControl, in tandem with Marmitek's home automation suite of products, represented by sister company Universal Concepts, enables hotels to fully automate their guest rooms at a fraction of the cost.

Room automation can include remote controlling the air conditioning, lighting levels, television and audio, curtains and various other mood settings. The iControl is personalised to suit any configuration, with the device offering a limitless number of pages and options.

In addition to its new suite of products, Universal Concepts is also promoting firm favourites such as the iCableholder.

"Our most popular product is the iCableholder, a tidy desktop unit that provides hotel guests with access to the hotel's existing broadband access points without leaving cables lying around, improving the overall appearance of the room," Bose said.

Universal Concepts also offers the stylish iPlay series - a collection of units offering MP3 compatibility, radio and alarm clock.

The iPlay series offers guests the option of waking to any FM/AM radio station, a buzzer, or the music of their choice from their personal iPod. iPlay units also have a built-in high quality speaker system, which allows guests to play their music direct from any MP3, CD or cassette player.

Universal Concepts is exhibiting at The Hotel Show stand 1B111, taking place June 3-5 at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre.
