Doha, Qatar - May 29, 2014
United Development Company (UDC) Board of Directors convened Thursday morning, May 29, 2014, to discuss the end of the secondment period of Mr. Badr Al-Meer, Acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO), based on which the following was decided:
First: Approval of Mr. Badr Al-Meer's request to conclude his mandate as UDC Acting CEO effective June 1.
Second: Mr. Turki Al-Khater, Chairman of the Board, to temporarily undertake the duties of Managing Director, until a permanent CEO is appointed.
In line with these decisions, Eng. Badr Al Meer sent a farewell letter to all UDC staff thanking them for their cooperation during his tenure as Acting CEO and announcing his plans to return to his former position within Qatar Airways and Hamad International Airport.
The Board of Directors has in turn expressed appreciation to Mr. Al-Meer for his efforts throughout the period of his service wishing him more success in his future endeavors.
