The Tristar Group’s Shipping Division won the Safety Award at the Lloyd’s List Middle East and Indian Subcontinent Awards held on December 7 at the Palazzo Versace Hotel in Dubai. The recognition is testament to Tristar’s philosophy of being a Responsible Business and for promoting a safety culture within the organization.
The Shipping Division which includes newly acquired Abu Dhabi-based Eships owns and operates a fleet of over 20 vessels. Coincidentally, three days earlier, on December 4, the company conducted its annual Shipping Safety Day at the Port of Fujairah. Tristar abides by the policy Goal Zero: Zero Harm to People and Planet in all operations. Goal Zero has helped the organization to develop sound awareness and robust safety and quality culture across the board over the past years.
The awards are managed by Lloyd’s List which provides information, analysis and knowledge for business decision makers in a changing and increasingly complex shipping environment.
