New product lines seek to grab a slice of world's expanding digital signage market worth US$14.9bn by 2020

Dubai, UAE -- Tripp Lite, a world-leading manufacturer of power protection equipment and connectivity solutions, has launched its new line of display mounts and Digital Signage solutions to the Middle East, taking advantage of the region's fast-growing digital signage market and other growth industries.

"We develop products that keep up with the evolving demands of consumers and industries worldwide," said Darwin Haines, Tripp Lite's Vice President of EMEA and Asia. "Now, more than ever, is the ideal time to showcase our diverse portfolio as the international Digital Signage market is expected to be worth almost US$14.9 billion by 2020, growing annually by 8.94 per cent from 2014 to 2020, according to MarketsandMarkets' latest forecast."

The Digital Signage industry is also set to prosper in the Middle East, where rapid urbanisation and booming economy have spurred exponential growth in sectors such as aviation, education, healthcare, information and communications technology (ICT), retail, tourism and transportation.

The UAE Digital Signage market alone is projected to grow at a CAGR of around 23 per cent during 2014-2019, according to TechSci Research, especially with Dubai winning the right to host the World Expo in 2020. The global exposition is expected to create a huge platform for digital signage players to promote their solutions and systems in the country and the wider Middle East region.

Tripp Lite's Display mounts line comprises VESA (Video Electronics Standards Association)-compliant and sleekly designed desktop and wall mounts that support a wide range of displays, ranging from 13 to 27 inches and weighing between 20 and 200 pounds (9.1 and 90.72 kilograms). These fixed, tilting and full-motion mounts are also suitable for a variety of applications, including informational displays, conference areas, meeting rooms, point-of-purchase displays, security stations, control rooms, instructional settings, public areas, production studios, home theatres and other video display applications.

Complementing the Tripp Lite desktop and wall mounts line are the company's exclusive Display and Digital Signage Solutions comprising a wide array of high-quality audio/video HDMI cables, over Cat5 (UTP) extenders, wall plates, adapters, splitters and switches.

The VGA over Cat5 (UTP) extenders (B132-004A, B130-101A-2 and B132-110), in particular, offer value-added features that extend video graphics array (VGA) signals up to 2,000 feet over cost-effective Cat5 (UTP) cabling, while supporting HD resolutions of up to 1920 x 1440. In addition, they are capable of serving the needs of a highly dynamic display environment by connecting up to 97 displays (one local and 96 remote) to a single source.

Tripp Lite's Display mounts and Digital Signage solutions are ideal not only to the Digital Signage market, but also other sectors including ICT, vertical markets, retail outlets, small and medium businesses, corporate and government establishments, as well as small and home offices.

"In the Middle East - where PC shipments and LCD TV sales are some of the most robust in the world - we see our desktop and wall mounts, as well as Digital Signage solutions as ideal complementary products for both flat screen and Digital Displays installations," Haines said.

According to market intelligence firm International Data Corporation (IDC)'s latest report, PC shipments in Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA) stood at 21.8 million units in the first quarter of 2014, with the Middle East and Africa (MEA) region, in particular, performing better than expected despite challenging market conditions.

Meanwhile, global information company IHS predicted overall TV sales in the MEA region this year to reach 17.7 million units, posting an increase of over five per cent compared with the 16.8 million units sold in 2013.

Haines said Tripp Lite remains confident of the Middle East market. "Regional customers can expect a wide variety of robust and versatile products from a trusted vendor such as Tripp Lite, which has been serving the Middle East's growth for more than 20 years."
