Eight Russian companies will present their products at one of the largest world exhibitions of wood and furniture components Dubai WoodShow 2018 which will be held from 12 to 14 March in Dubai at the Dubai World Trade Centre.
The exhibition annually attracts thousands of visitors, including investors and representatives of major construction companies. This year, it is expected that 300 exhibitors from more than 30 countries will participate, attracting more than 10,000 visitors and organising large-scale national pavilions.
As initiated by Ministry of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation, the Dubai WoodShow 2018 exhibition will feature a collective stand where Russian companies will present almost the entire range of modern wood products. This includes the latest samples of plywood, chipboard, OSB and MDF, glued and LVL-beams, wall panels, furniture boards and components, sawmill products.
“The products of the Russian timber processing complex are of high quality, which helps to compete on equal terms with the world’s best samples. So, the Russian wooden construction materials manufacturer will supply 15 thousand cubic metres of LVL to Europe for a total of EUR 7.5 million in 2018. In general, according to the experts, in 2017 the volume of exported Russian timber industry products amounted to RUB 673 billion, which is RUB 19 billion more than the previous year. We are aimed at continuing the development of the timber industry export potential”—said Victor Yevtukhov, the State Secretary, the Deputy Minister of Industry and Trade of the Russian Federation.
The united stand with the area of 128 sq.m. will include the following companies: Latat LLC, SVEZA-les LLC, Segezha Group LLC, Forestry Holding Altailes Ltd., The Soyuz Industrial group, Kraslesinvest JSC, Ustyanskiy timber industry complex LLC (RusTimber TM), Modern lumber technology Ltd. (Utralam TM).
Participation in the exhibition Dubai WoodShow 2018 is aimed at promoting the Russian wooden construction materials on the international market, developing the Russia’s export potential whose priority is to increase the share of non-primary exports.
The Russian timber products have an advantage over foreign analogues in many characteristics and are successfully supplied to many countries of the world. For example, Russian LVL is already in demand in Europe. Moreover, there is also an experience in exporting wood processed products to Saudi Arabia, Lebanon and Oman.
