Amman, March 12th, 2007, Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Raad Bin Zeid, the Royal Netherlands Embassy and the Grand Hyatt Amman are making the final arrangements to welcome and host the annual Holland Festival, which will start on April 23rd, till May 8th.

Taking place at the Grand Hyatt Amman and Zara Expo, this festival will showcase an exclusive mlange of Holland's culture, art music and cuisine, through a rich program that will run during the festival. This event will be featuring a "Dutch Food Expo" where local suppliers will get the chance to showcase top Dutch delicacies and products. This promotion of Dutch food will be followed in the Cozmo Supermarket from 25 until 28 April.

Culture starts off with an exhibition of renowned Dutch artists, Frans Franciscus and Piet Gerrits at Hyatt's Zara gallery. This exhibition will open its doors on April 24th, from 18:00-20:00, and will continue throughout the festival till May 8th.

Fusing Classical Arabic music with European progressive jazz, Yuri Honing Trio, known as one of the most creative, fearless and alert jazz units of the moment, will be performing at the Zara Expo on April 25th at 20:00 hours.

Thursday, April 26th will witness two major events in the festival with the opening of the Dutch film festival at Zara Expo, showing a perfect selection of drama, action, comedy and Kids movies with the screening of "Karakter", "Oeroeg", "Minoes", "Johan",

"Polleke" and "Ellis in Glamourland". For the party go-ers Holland's famous DJ, Horst Timmer, known as DJ mps Pilot, will be mixing the latest music on Thursday as well, for one night only, at Hyatt's JJ's.

The Holland Festival continues with a celebration of "Queen Beatrix's Birthday". On 2 May, the outstanding international ensemble "Cello Octet Conjunto Iberico" will perform in the Zara Theatre at 20:00 hours. The Holland Festival concludes with a unique dance performance by famous Boukje Schweigman on 3 May in the Haya Cultural Centre.

His Excellency, Mr. Johan Verboom, Charg d'Affaires of the Royal Netherlands Embassy in Amman, emphasizes the importance of hosting this event.
