The 11th Annual Current Trends in English Language Testing Conference (CTELT) will take place at Dubai Men's College on November 1-2, 2007. This annual conference is organized by the TESOL Arabia Testing, Assessment, and Evaluation SIG.
The theme of CTELT 11 is "Assessing Second Language Literacy."
To date, plenary speakers include:
- Dudley Reynolds, Carnegie Mellon University in Qatar, Doha, Qatar
- Mary Lou McCloskey, Educo, Atlanta, Georgia
- Mick Randall, British University of Dubai, Dubai, UAE
- Jessica Nelson, Center for Applied Linguistics, Washington, DC, USA
CTELT 2007 will feature a book and software exhibition as well as over 25 presentations showcasing some of the excellent testing and teacher education work being done in the region.
Registration begins at 8:30 am and the morning plenary begins at 9:30. The conference is expected to end at 4:00 pm on both days. Registration is free for TESOL Arabia members and 50 AED per day for non-members. Please bring your membership cards with you. Lunch is available in the DMC cafeteria at an additional cost to participants.

To submit a proposal for the event, send an abstract (50 words) of the session, a bio statement (30 words) and your IT needs to the Conference Chair.
