Tender Management, SMB Solution, and Strategic Procurement Services Showcased

Dubai, United Arab Emirates - Having overseen more than $2 billion in business transactions over its five-year history, Tejari is set to boost its current portfolio of online procurement services and solutions through an upcoming eTender solution for complex tenders and 'market marking' offering for the region's SMB sector, as well as the currently-available Strategic Procurement Services & Tools. These and other new solutions are among the foundations of Tejari's strategy to attract decision-makers during GITEX 2005.

Tejari will use GITEX to preview its latest advances in electronic tender management, a vital new service that will enable Tejari's trading partners to manage large, complex tenders, all managed centrally through the online marketplace.

The new eTender solution is part of Tejari's sourcing process, in which procurement professionals utilize web-based collaborative tools to conduct online the various stages of the procurement lifecycle. Tejari's eTender facility is fully compliant with International Procurement Directives; supports the full tender process including advertisement, invitation to tender and reverse auctions; and possesses the functionality for contractors and subcontractors to request online quotations for every material that goes into one of these undertakings. This groundbreaking package is set to increase speed and management efficiency while greatly reducing costs.

"Tejari eTender is just part of our unique sourcing solution, which also encompasses state-of-the-art eEvaluation, eCollaboration and eContract tools. As well as being fully compatible with all these tools, our industry-leading tender bid management solution is an independent, completely secure package, which can be used for procurements of any size, value or complexity. Tejari's eTendering service is intended to provide busy executives with peace of mind, knowing that their tender is being managed with quickness and reliability," said Saqib Iqbal, chief operating officer at Tejari.

Tejari is also reaching out to the small- and medium-sized business community during GITEX 2005 with a sneak peek at its upcoming 'market making' solution that enables companies to quickly join the marketplace and create a virtual showroom of products and services.

Also during GITEX 2005, Tejari will conduct live demonstrations of its new supplier relationship management solutions.  As an extension of the company's recently-launched Tejari Strategic Procurement Services group, companies can view a range of tools for vendor performance appraisals, spend analysis, and data cleansing.

"These new solutions, all of which can be previewed at GITEX, accomplish a number of Tejari's core objectives.  Tejari eTender will deliver greater depth by tying together all of the materials needed for major infrastructure projects and centralizing the procurement for these complex undertakings.  Smaller companies will streamline their foray into online procurement through our 'market making' solution.  And for organizations that have already adopted online procurement, supplier relationship management is the next step to ensure that you are realizing the full value of dealing with your partners electronically," Iqbal continued.

A Tejari tradition during GITEX is to commend a number of its existing trading partners based on their level of online procurement activity throughout the year.  These awards are likely to be presented to members from both the public and private sectors based on factors including the number and size of the auctions and tenders they have launched on the marketplace during a specified period of time.

In addition, Tejari will host representatives from its regional offices, including Jordan, Iraq, Kuwait and Lebanon, to strengthen ties in the regional business community.  Throughout GITEX, executives from the online marketplace will be meeting potential franchise partners from new markets in the GCC and Africa, and may announce new regional expansion initiatives during the exhibition.
