Dubai, United Arab Emirates, May 9th 2006: Tatweer's High Potential Employee (HPE) programme is taking on the next batch of potential leaders for training under the leadership development course. Tatweer is continuously striving for world-class performance oriented leadership development to drive and sustain business excellence, quality and high performance.
Tatweer is the strategic and operational driver of a selected group of Dubai Holding entities that will develop new markets to serve the development of Dubai.
Tatweer recently held a ceremony for the graduates who successfully completed the High Potential Employee programme. Launched in May 2005, the HPE is a comprehensive programme designed to select the top-tier employees and train them through custom-made academic and professional programmes to maximize their career development.
Addressing Tatweer's employees at the ceremony, the Chief of Human Capital Officer for Tatweer, Mustafa Al Hendi stressed the importance of leadership development as a core pillar of Tatweer. "Every team member is critical to the success of Tatweer. It is the duty and responsibility of the top management to identify potential leadership talent and train our employees to prepare a new generation of leaders," Al Hendi said.
The 2005 class of the HPE programme included Arif Mubarak, Marjan Faraidooni, and Tariq El Titti. Students attended a series of leadership workshops, leadership briefings, coaching, feedback and training and, upon graduation the selected employees are expected to take on broader responsibilities. The employees who successfully completed the programme were Arif Mubarak, Marjan Faraidooni both UAE nationals and Tariq El Titti.
The HPE graduates received certificates for their effort and will now have a better chance to develop leadership and have a prominent career. They also expressed how proud they are to have completed the programme and how important it is that all High Potential Employees follow in their footsteps.
Profiles
Arif Mubarak, the Director of Tatweer Asia Pacific Office is a young national graduated from The Higher Colleges of Technology and is currently pursuing his Masters Degree in leadership strategies in Cranfield University. Arif started his professional career when he joined Dubai Media City (DMC) as regional sales consultant then moved to DDIA as the project capitalization manager. Arif was one of the founding team members of DDIA. Arif completed his HPE programme in emerging leaders programme at Harvard, Executive Education.
Marjan Faraidooni, another young national, got her Bachelor of Science and a Master of Public Health from Boston University, USA in 2001. Marjan started her work as an analyst in Dubai Healthcare City (DHCC) which seemed the right platform for her to bring the concept of quality healthcare to reality. Subsequently she joined CPQ as an assistant manager in quality of healthcare delivery in DHCC. Marjan Faraidooni also completed her HPE program in emerging leaders program at Harvard, Executive Education, and in Finance for non-Finance Executives at Meirc Training Consultants and introduction to Six Sigma at General Electric.
Tariq El Titti completed his Bachelor Degree in Westminster Business School in London. He marked the start of his journey in December 2003 with DDIA as assistant business planning manager. Tariq successfully led numerous projects within the group. His efforts were rewarded with the DDIA 'Distinguished Government Employee' award presented by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. Tariq is currently working in DHCC where he is managing Real Estate & Facilities Management, government services, client services and customer relationship management. Tariq completed his HPE program in Fundamentals of Management - highlight of MBA in Columbia Business School and introduction to Six Sigma at General Electric.
Rana Askoul, Project Manager of the HPE Program said, "The successful completion of the program was an achievement for its graduates. The distinction and the effort by the programme was highly appreciated and valued." The next HPE programme is expected to begin in the second quarter of this year.
