The main objective of these fairs, which are organised in coordination with the Bahrain Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI), is to support SMEs and strengthen consumer demand in the market. Over 100 traders from the Capital Governorate displayed their products for shoppers in the Capital Trade Fair.
The Capital Trade Fair will continue for the next 6 days until the 12th of July to give shoppers the chance to explore the various products on display in addition to the accompanying entertainment for children. The Ministry of Interior Music Band has also held a music march prior to the opening which attracted a good crowd.
Up to 200 business owners/participants have been selected for each governorate fair and the Capital Trade Fair is all set to offer a wide range of goods from electronics to garments and textiles to foodstuffs and furniture.
The first Capital Trade Fair will continue till the 12th of July, and will then be followed by the Muharraq Trade Fair at the Muharraq Club from 13th July until the 18th July.
Following this, the Fair moves to the Northern Governorate where the Northern Trade Fair will take place from 16th to 21st of July at the Al Shabab Club (Jidhafs); the Central Trade Fair takes place at the Isa Town Club from 22nd till 27th July and the Southern Trade Fair will be held at the Riffa Club (Hunainiya) from 25th till 30th July 2011.

Local brands such: Gulf Air, Batelco, Al Hawaj Group, Sofitel Luxury Hotels, Bahrain Development Bank and Lost Paradise of Dilmun have acknowledged their faith in the event and became partners to sponsor some exciting prizes for the public to win.
This event reaches out to all participating shops in the Governorate where shoppers are entitled to a draw with every BD 5 worth of purchases.
For the Capital Fair, the Raffle drum will be at Bab Al Bahrain Mall from 7th till the 12th July so people need to shop anywhere in the Capital Governorate and for every BD 5 worth of purchases, where receipts can be exchanged at Bab-Al Bahrain for raffles.
