Amman- November 26, 2007: Tameer International in Jordan, the arm of the UAE-based Tameer Holdings, the leader in real estate development in the MENA region, inaugurated early November the first training diploma in the region in "Real Estate Management and Marketing" in full collaboration with the Center of Consultation at the University of Jordan, SARTT and Tameer.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Eng. Mohammad Al Hatto, Project Manager, Tameer International; Dr. Nazzal Armouti, Director of Center of Consolation at the University of Jordan; Dr. Bashar Malkawi, Director of Training; and Mr. Sadeq Khawaja, General Manager, SARTT, in addition to students participating in the diploma for the first time, being drawn a wide spectrum - from real estate department managers in the banks, to real estate professionals to university students from various majors.
"We are celebrating the opening of the first training diploma in the region in real estate management and marketing. This celebration is the first fruit we reap as a result of cooperation between Tameer, the University of Jordan and SARTT, and this diploma program is the first real step to be taken with the aim of training Jordanian youth to enter the real estate market with extensive experience and a high level of professionalism in the vast and rapid development the Kingdom is witnessing in the sector specially the real estate", said Eng. Hatto, Project Manager, Tameer International.
"It is out of our belief in the importance of enabling a wide segment of the community to benefit from our broad experience in managing and marketing real estate, much of which has grown alongside the growing list of projects we are implementing across the world. In granting three scholarships for exceptional students as well as establishing a competition for the diploma students where the winner will be recruited to work in one of Tameer's branches in the region, we believe we are kick starting real investment in the youth and also into our sector". He added.
For his part, Dr. Nazzal Armouti, Director of Center of Consolation at the University of Jordan, welcomed the attendees in his speech and went on to underline the University's keenness to achieve the desired goals from this diploma.
Mr. Sadeq Khawaja, General Manager, SARTT, went on to praise the cooperation between SARTT, Tameer, University of Jordan and the Department of Lands and Survey, which led to the creation and success of this diploma.
It is worth mentioning that the academic year for enrolled students, starting on 4th November through to 30th November 2008, stretches across three semesters, and includes field training with students receiving training alongside staff at Tameer's offices in order to gain practical experience.
