Kuwait's leading food ordering service sponsors debut event for digital professionals and joins discussion panel on Data in Digital Advertising
Kuwait - Talabat, Kuwait’s leading food ordering service and sponsor of ArabNet Kuwait 2016, took part in an insightful panel discussion yesterday (5 October) at the Arraya Ballroom, Courtyard by Marriot Hotel in Kuwait City.
Talabat’s Chief Marketing Officer, Dikdyuti Sen, was joined by representatives from Google and OMD to discuss the importance of understanding and utilising data in advertising and exploring how marketers can harness the power of data to better reach customers and tailor their services.
“The potential of data is in the relationships it can reveal; measuring, analysing and understanding the interactions that users have across multiple touch points in their day-to-day behaviour.
“Today’s discussion explored the challenges we face in harnessing data and making it relevant to our organisations and customers.” Said Talabat’s Chief Marketing Officer, Dikdyuti Sen.
With ArabNet estimating that the size of data generated online hit 667 exabytes (10^18) in 2014 alone, the panel, which was moderated by Fawzi Rahal, Founder and Managing Partner of Gamutt, also discussed the rapid surge in big data technologies allowing for real-time optimisation, granular audience targeting, and improved reach and efficiency.
Talabat sponsored ArabNet Kuwait, the first event of its kind where over 500 attendees from across the world were able to connect, network and learn, and hear from various industry experts in 35 panels and talks geared towards the region’s digital future.
ArabNet Kuwait also served as a platform for budding entrepreneurs wishing to present their ideas and startups through ArabNet’s competitions: Ideathon and StartUp Demo.
