Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qassimi and leading figures from Sharjah's property sector to address attendees
Sharjah - The Sharjah International Commercial Arbitration Centre (Tahkeem) will host a symposium entitled: "Arbitration and the Real Estate Sector" at the Sheraton Hotel - Sharjah, on Wednesday, 11 May, 2016. Leading business professionals and government officials will speak at the event attended by property developers, real estate brokers, banking professionals and others interested in the real estate industry.
Sheikh Sultan bin Ahmed Al Qassimi, Chairman of the Sharjah Media Corporation will begin with a keynote address highlighting the role of arbitration in the future of the real estate sector. The event will also include a seminar on the relationship between arbitration and the property sector in the emirate of Sharjah and the UAE as a whole.
The conference is one of several Tahkeem plans on hosting to promote a culture of arbitration in various economic and investment sectors. The organization's goal is to help Sharjah create an attractive and stable investment environment in the emirate.
Commenting on the symposium, Mr Ahmed Al-Echlah, Director of Tahkeem, said: "Commercial arbitration plays a vital and important role in increasing both investments and investor confidence in the economy. Based on the importance of real estate as a fundamental pillar of sustainable and inclusive economic development, the symposium will introduce those in the sector to the role of arbitration as an impartial facilitator of resolving disagreements. It will underscore the important role arbitration plays to build trust in the sector, as well as clarify the high standards of service Tahkeem applies."
