Dubai, United Arab Emirates- Summertown Interiors- the international corporate turnkey design and fit-out solution specialist has recently included Investment Corporation of Dubai (ICD) to its growing list of corporate clients after completing an impressive redesign of the group's corporate offices.
Located in the heart of the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), the multi-million-dirham project comprises 2,300 square meters of office space that makes up ICD's temporary headquarters. Commissioned by Summertown Interiors and working hand-in-hand with a renowned French designer, the design reflects an elegant and timelessly sophisticated workplace while maintaining a distinct level of comfort that accurately mirrors the company's brand image.
"Our aim is to conceptualize the ideas our clients have for their offices then perfectly execute these ideas by sourcing the ideal materials, finishes, and other key elements that go into creating a truly custom-tailored, professional environment," said Marcos Bish, Managing Director at Summertown Interiors.
Working within the parameters of "an office that feels like a home," Summertown Interiors' engineers, planners, and designers incorporated a selection of typically uncommon commercial wood veneers to the corporate space including Rosewood Pallisander and Tabu, which added to the domestic-like feel of the design.
"The Summertown Interiors' team was able to contribute local expertise and technical knowledge to further enhance the design concept and ensure that the bespoke interiors conceptualized by the French designer were accurately interpreted by the project management and joinery divisions," said Khlaifa Al Daboos, Director of Investment at ICD.
The close team effort and communication between Summertown and the French Designer resulted in a project being completed according to the ICD's expectations. A happy working partnership was felt when Summertown was complemented on the high quality and professional drawings, especially within the joinery division.

For ICD this entailed marrying the very particular idea of a no-nonsense workspace with the comfort of being at home. Working alongside the designer we were able to hand-select a unique choice of exclusive wood veneers, more commonly used in residential spaces rather than businesses. However, it is this detailing that gave the space a truly bespoke component," said Bish.
