Logistics in the 21st Century
Dubai, UAE. October 9, 2011: As Dubai, and the wider GCC, drives forward its position as a logistical hub for the international industry, Heriot-Watt University Dubai Campus will be hosting a discussion on 'Logistics in the 21st Century' this week, with special guest lecturer, chairman of the World Economic Forum's Logistics and Supply Chain Industry Council, Alan McKinnon.
Former European Editor of the International Journal of Physical Distribution and Logistics Management, McKinnon is currently a member of the editorial board of this and six other journals, including the Journal of Business Logistics and International Journal of Logistics: Research and Applications. Professor McKinnon is the Chairman of the World Economic Forum's Logistics and Supply Chain Industry Council.
The guest lecture will be held on Wednesday 12 October from 6-8pm at Heriot-Watt Dubai New Campus, in Dubai International Academic City (DIAC). Those who would like to book their place at the event should contact Carrie Annabi by email c.annabi@hw.ac.uk.
