23 November 2016, Dubai, United Arab Emirates

The third edition of the SPE Middle East Artificial Lift Conference and Exhibition returns to Manama, Kingdom of Bahrain, from 30 November—1 December 2016. Taking place under the patronage of His Excellency Shaikh Mohammed bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, Minister of Oil, Kingdom of Bahrain, the event will see industry experts and leaders discuss the current trends and challenges in artificial lift.

Mohammed A. Al-Musharraf, Conference Chairperson, and Manager, Land Affairs Department, Saudi Aramco, says “This year’s event comes at a time when the industry is facing a unique challenge of low oil prices coupled with high production, and overall uncertainty in forecasting. This unique challenge is an opportunity to propel innovation and new ways of doing business to maximise the benefit of artificial lift, while being cost-efficient, hence the theme of the event, “Lift More for Less”.”

Speakers in the executive plenary sessions will examine the key focus areas that are essential to achieve more efficient artificial lift at a lower cost, and game-changing technologies and innovative methodologies.

Speakers include Nabeel AlAfaleg, Chief Petroleum Engineer, Saudi Aramco; David Henderson, Vice Chairman, Alkhorayef Petroleum Company; Zaher Ibrahim, CEO, GE Oil & Gas (Saudi Arabia); Hisham Zubari, Deputy CEO, Tatweer Petroleum; Kyel Hodenfield, Lift Solutions (SLS) President, Schlumberger; Darrell Johnson, CEO, Silverwell; Maksim Perelman, CEO, Novomet; and Azeb Qahtani, Manager, Production and Facilities Development Department, Saudi Aramco.

Life cycle costs, designs, manufacturing, operational and maintenance options, performance management, and other areas, will be discussed by panelists in two panel sessions, namely, “Artificial Lift—Which Business Model?” and “Artificial Lift Performance Management”. Subject matter experts will share the latest technologies, case studies, research, best practices, and more, during seven technical sessions and many knowledge sharing ePoster sessions across the two-day event.

Leading oil and gas organisations like Saudi Aramco (Titanium Sponsor) and Schlumberger (Platinum Sponsor) will be among the several sponsors and exhibitors participating in this event.
