GSCS has teamed with Spacelink to expand the existing communications and information technology infrastructure systems in the Government of Iraq Complex (GOIC) under a contract with the Office of Coalition Provisional Authority (OCPA). GSCS shall be responsible for engineering, equipment, installation and commissioning services to extend the LAN/WAN network with commercial internet access for simultaneous use by an additional 875 users across 7 floors.
Once GSCS procures and mobilizes all project materials and equipment, a 35-person GSCS IT installation team will (a) add a total of 875 data drops and 875 voice drops across the 7 floors, add, reconfigure and test the core network equipment and servers to accommodate additional data drops, (c) extend the voice cable plant from the existing Main Distribution Frame (MDF) located in the ground floor to the remaining 7 floors, (d) provide all material including Intermediate Distribution Frames on floors to properly route and terminate cables, and (e) provide all test equipment to support test and acceptance, fault isolation, and repair of systems, circuits and equipment.
