Leading children's fashion designer & manufacturer to preview

'New Year' designs at three-day family event

The Main Event (TME) organisers of The Mother Baby and Child Show 2007, which takes place at the Dubai International Exhibition Centre (DIEC) on December 16-18, has announced that it will preview a an range of exclusive lines at the three-day family event.

Shannon Norris, Events Director, TME, said, "The Souris Mini brand is at the cutting edge of international fashion trends, for babies, right through to children preparing for secondary school. It is a real coup for us to have secured a sneak preview of their 'New Year' lines."

Headquartered in Quebec City, Canada, Souris Mini was established over 17 years ago and is the brainchild of Annie Bellavance, who after trying unsuccessfully to find distinctive clothing for her two-year-old daughter, decided to make her own.

With more than 30 dedicated 'boutiques' across Canada, Souris Mini has recently launched their first outlet in the Middle East at Al Wahda Mall in Abu Dhabi, through Nadalex Trading. An even larger second outlet will open in Dubai Festival City later this month.

Nathalie Marleau, Managing Director, Nadalex Trading, commented, "The Mother Baby & Child Show is the premier event of its kind in the region. Their targeted consumer audience fits perfectly with our customer profile providing invaluable synergy. In that respect, previewing some of our exclusive 'New Year' lines live at the event was a strategic business decision."

The Souris Mini previews will take the form of a twenty-minute daily fashion show, using local children to model the range. In addition, Souris Mini will be donating five per cent of all sales revenue generated onsite to the Dubai Autism Centre.

It was due to the overwhelming success of the Dubai event last year that led organiser TME to successfully launch the Show in Abu Dhabi earlier this year. Building still further on the 'capital' success, in excess of 130 brands, retailers and entertainment providers, covering more than 4,000 square metres are expected to exhibit at Mother Baby & Child Dubai 2007.

Overall the show will maintain it ethos with a wholesome approach to family and childcare. Issues affecting not only children but parents and mums-to-be will be highlighted through practical free advice and tips on everything from nutrition and car safety, to breastfeeding.

This year's sponsors include, Progress Gold, New Boy, Volvo, Fuji Film and Malaysia Airlines
