Bateaux Dubai, the Unique Cruise Vessel on Dubai Creek managed by Jebel Ali International Hotels, has appointed Sofie Welin as Sales and Marketing Manager.
Sofie completed her European Business Studies at Vaxjo University and followed this up with another degree specialising in Marketing and Logistics, which she completed in France at the Ecole Superieure de Commerce. She also possesses a Master Degree in Social Science obtained from Vaxjo.
"I am delighted to join Bateaux Dubai. The product is truly a unique experience and I look forward to expand on this positioning and develop new business on the basis of providing a full service product, not only to our regular diners but also to companies and event managers looking for an exclusive event venue," said Sofie. She also expressed her excitement about bringing onboard new ideas, especially with regards to Bateaux Dubai's charter business segment, to which the vessel caters with a wide variety of product launch options, conference set-ups and any other tailor-made requirements.
With a strong background in international business, Sophie has been appointed to several senior managerial positions in prestigious companies such as Este Lauder, John Ryan, Swedbank (Sweden, Italy and Spain) as well as IKEA. Prior to joining Bateaux Dubai, Sofie worked as Brand Coordinator for Este Lauder Middle East, Africa and Dubai, so her experience with luxury brands will be hugely beneficial to the continued success of Bateaux Dubai.
