They reveal remarkable satisfaction with the experience
Dubai , 18 November 08: A number of companies which are members of the Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment of Young Business Leaders (SME) have embarked upon leasing retail shops in aswaaq's first community centre that has been recently opened in Nad Al Hamar area.
After aswaaq had announced the registration take off in its first centre, SME's members have taken the initiative to apply to the centre's Leasing Department to secure spaces with strategic locations.
Najla Al Khaja - Senior Manager Community Center Leasing and Operation said: "The number of stores leased to the members of Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders and people of Nad AlHamar has reached 60% surpassing the allocated percentage that was 20%. This shows young entrepreneurs awareness of their need to develop their businesses in aswaaq".
Ms. Al Khaja stressed that in a bid to encourage the members of Mohammed Bin Rashid Establishment to take part in the newly-opened outlet, aswaaq, has offered SME's members a 20% discount on the rental values.
In their turn, SME's members have expressed their pleasure and will to have the chance to lease their shops in aswaaq's first centre in Nad Al Hamar.
Mr. Hamed AL Ali is the owner of Waselati shop, which specializes in providing all school products and services such as stationery products, teaching aids, books packing ... etc. This is the first shop he opens in Dubai and in aswaaq community centers. He feels optimistic towards this experience.
Mrs Muna Al Mas, owner of Sweet Greet, a shop that sells all kinds of gifts and gift wrapping, said that this is her first enterprise with Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders and the first one she opens through aswaaq.
Like others, Muna was offered a 20% discount on the rental value as a kind of encouragement. "This is a good and distinguished opportunity. I hope I will have other shops in aswaaq's future centres." She said.
Muna noted that shoppers have been rushing to the centre, especially to the supermarket, because of its competitive prices, noting that food stuff prices could be the lowest compared with those of other retail shops.
Mr. Saif Rashid, owner of Snacks Company, commented also on his participation in aswaaq's first centre. "This step represents an expansion of the company I have previously launched through Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders. It sells kitchen equipment and hospitality needs to ministries, government departments and large companies." He said.
"The experience is still new and it is useful to benefit from aswaaq's special offers." He remarked.
Mr. Salah Bin Masoud explained that his shop,050 Telecom, sells and buys mobile phones and accessories and offers etisalat mobile phone services. He said that he had opened 7 branches so far, and expressed his wish to obtain an exclusive right to sell mobile phones in aswaaq's future centres.
Commenting on this experience, Mr Salah said: "Like other members of Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders, I was offered a 20% discount on the rental value. I am pleased with the launch of this chain of centres.
Mr. Salman bin Shbeib's the owner of ER Automatic Laundry offers dry cleaning services through four other outlets. Mr. Salman, who is also a member of Mohammed bin Rashid Establishment for Young Business Leaders, said that he had benefited from the 20% discount on rental value offered to all SME's members.
Mr. Salman expressed his confidence in the success of aswaaq's centres, noting that he will apply to the company to get an exclusive rental contract for dry cleaning services in awaaq's other centres to be opened next year.
