Muscat, 20 October 2009 - Keeping up-to-date with the latest technology is one of the many pleasingly different elements of the Nawras mobile experience that ensures Nawras customers always get more. With the introduction of the latest E1750 internet modem for just RO29, this is again evident as the future proof device for internet connection is ready to support the latest software upgrade of 64-bit Windows Vista and the latest release from MS-Windows 7, coming from Microsoft.
Supplied with a free lanyard, the new E1750 supports HSPA which will give customers a download speed of up to 7.2Mbps and uplink speed of up to 5.76Mbps. This will allow a superior experience even when travelling abroad and using the modem in other countries possessing the latest network capabilities.
Customers can compare this performance with the previous, now discontinued E156G model, which only supported HSDPA with the lower download speeds of a maximum of 3.6Mbps.
Jalal Al-Amri, Nawras handsets, SIM & numbering manager, said, "We are working hard to search for the best available technology to give our customers excellent quality with great value. It is important for us to look ahead and provide hardware that will work well with upcoming developments in the IT and telecom markets. We have tested the E1750 product thoroughly ourselves, as we always do, before making it available to our valued customers."
Nawras offers a range of modem and router options for customers to use at work or when relaxing at home and surfing the web, reading and sending emails or perhaps visiting their favourite social networking site.
Customers can visit any Nawras Store, premium dealer or distributor (locations on the website at www.nawras.om), to purchase their internet connection device and with their activated Nawras SIM-card in place, they can begin enjoying the service right away.
Nawras offers two Internet access products. Broadband Internet uses the latest 3G+ network which covers all the key metropolitan areas while Mobile Internet uses the reliable EDGE network, available countrywide.
The range of Broadband internet price plans begins with the popular, prepaid, 48 hour unlimited plan for only RO 2. Customers wanting the convenience of postpaid, can choose the Silver plan for a capped monthly fee of just RO 19 and enjoy 2GB of free data each month after which service continues at a slower speed for any remaining time, until the next monthly cycle begins.
Alternatively, with a Silver Plus plan , customers will enjoy the same speed all month and simply pay for any data usage they might incur over and above the monthly free 2GB allowance. Other plans include Gold and Gold Plus giving a massive 10 GB of free data for RO 29 and the Platinum plan for corporate users which is priced at RO 99 including 100 GB of data.
Nawras Broadband Internet can be used abroad with more than 200 Nawras Ajel (postpaid) data roaming partners and over 30 Nawras Mousbak (prepaid) data roaming partners.
Importantly, customers can rest assured that whatever choices they make, there are friendly, professional Nawras people ready to assist them in person at over 20 Nawras Stores across the country as well as helpful customer champions waiting for their call at the Middle East Call Centre of the Year.
