Arab Health 2016: Sheikh Saeed Hall 1, Booth S1D10 and New Za'abeel Hall 4, Booth Z4E40
New ultrasound system delivers high performance with intuitive interface
Siemens introduces world's first Twin Robotic X-Ray system
Laboratory automation aid in keeping pace in challenging environments
Siemens Healthcare will present a range of diagnostic imaging and therapy solutions at Arab Health 2016, also launching the company's latest innovations - the Acuson NX3 Ultrasound system and the Multitom Rax X-ray scanner.
The Healthcare industry globally is undergoing a drastic change, the Middle East being no exception. With a rapidly growing population, the demand for accessible and quality medical care has become more important than ever before. Under the motto 'Making Healthcare Pay Off' Siemens Healthcare demonstrates how its varied product portfolio supports healthcare providers in the Middle East, enabling them to overcome challenges and to achieve the goals and benchmarks set forth. The innovations presented at Arab Health and Medlab help in improving medical outcomes at reduced costs without compromising on diagnostic confidence and efficient workflows.
ACUSON NX3 ultrasound system delivers high performance with intuitive interface
Siemens Healthcare presents the Acuson NX3, a new ultrasound system designed specifically around the way clinicians work. The system offers a simple, intuitive interface combined with innovative imaging solutions for examinations primarily in general medicine, obstetrics/gynecology, pediatrics and neurology. The Acuson NX3 system offers advanced workflow solutions that aim to deliver consistent, accurate results. With up to 28 percent fewer keystrokes and three times more user-customizable settings, the Acuson NX3 ultrasound system is faster and more intuitive than traditional systems.
Siemens Healthcare introduces first Twin Robotic X-Ray system: Multitom Rax
The Multitom Rax (Robotic Advanced X-ray) system enables a wide variety of examinations in a range of clinical areas to be performed using only a single X-ray system for the first time. The operator is always in full control of the system's movement. By the push of a button, both robotic arms are positioned fully automatically around the patient, improving both safety and convenience. There is no need to move the patient on the system or to change rooms for further imaging procedures, which makes examinations less painful and less time-consuming.
Siemens Healthcare expands its portfolio of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) systems
The new 1.5-tesla scanner Magnetom Amira offers the same technologies that are available on the Siemens flagship MRI systems. Magnetom Amira also stands out against other scanners on account of its lower operating costs. By combining high image quality with comparatively low costs per scan, Magnetom Amira meets the requirements of radiology practices, small and medium-sized hospitals and larger facilities that are looking for a system to complement their existing devices.
Computed tomography made accessible for highly sensitive patient groups
The Somatom Force, third generation of Dual Source computed tomography (CT scanners each with two radiation tubes and detectors) enables considerably quicker and more precise diagnoses at reduced doses. This high-end CT offers individualized diagnoses now especially also for challenging patients, e.g. for very young patients or people suffering from renal insufficiency, the seriously ill, and obese patients.
Connect, compare, collaborate: cloud-based healthcare network teamplay
With the vision of helping healthcare experts connect and utilize the wealth of medical imaging data, Siemens Healthcare presents teamplay. This cloud-based network[1] helps link hospitals and healthcare experts to provide them with the ability to exchange data and pool their knowledge.
Siemens Healthcare at Medlab 2016
Siemens Healthcare will be extending its varied portfolio display at Medlab, the laboratory technology wing of Arab Health. At Medlab, Siemens Healthcare presents a portfolio of laboratory diagnostic solutions that combines an extensive menu of tests with leading-edge technology. In addition to featuring its portfolio of multidisciplinary solutions, the booth will highlight how Siemens' customers around the world are achieving their clinical and workflow goals.
Laboratory automation aid in keeping pace in challenging environments
A prominent feature on the Medlab booth, Siemens presents the Aptio Automation track, a flexible automation solution which integrates four core laboratory disciplines chemistry, immunoassay, hematology, and hemostasis on a single track. Booth visitors can also preview the new hematology solutions, the Advia 360 Hematology System and the Advia 560 Hematology System. These systems offer state-of-the-art hematology testing capabilities for small to mid-sized laboratories and may also be used as back-up systems for larger laboratories.
Siemens Healthcare presents a range of clinical testing menus
Beyond laboratory systems, Siemens Healthcare also offers an array of clinical testing assay menus, which enable healthcare providers to make informed diagnoses for disease states.
Siemens addresses one of the most pressing issues in the Middle East, Diabetes, with the DCA HbA1c test kit.1 The kit aids to diagnose diabetes and identify patients who are at a higher risk. With only a small (1 µL) whole blood finger stick sample, the system enables physicians within minutes to identify and confirm at-risk patients.
1 DCA HbA1c test kit 10698915 (an aid to diagnose diabetes and identify patients at risk for developing diabetes) is not available for sale in the U.S. Product availability varies by country.
The products/features (here mentioned) are not commercially available in all countries. Due to regulatory reasons their future availability cannot be guaranteed. Further details are available from the local Siemens organizations.
