Landmark Dubai Creek hotel to refurbish guest accommodations, public areas, culinary restaurant Vivaldi and introduce new signature Sheraton brand experiences

Dubai, UAE, 30 July, 2013

Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel today announced that it is undergoing a full refurbishment of all guest rooms, the Vivaldi restaurant and other facilities in the hotel. As of July 8, the hotel is not operational and will be closed to the public during the eight to 10 month renovation.

The extensive renovation of the Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel will include a complete redesign of the public spaces and all 262 rooms and suites, embracing the modern interpretation of classic design for which the Sheraton brand is known. Known as "Lady of the Creek", the hotel is a landmark retreat with a legacy of warm hospitality and personalized service for discerning travelers.

Drawing inspiration from European classical design influences as well as Dubai's modern tastes, the hotel's new design will feature Arabic-influenced accents which celebrate the emirate, depicting scenes of Dubai old and new, Arabic patterns, and of the importance of water, another key design element.

When the hotel re-opens in 2014, guestrooms will provide a stylish, relaxing escape from the bustling city for both the business and leisure traveler. The re-designed rooms will offer the perfect marriage of style and technology, proving tailored contemporary design and classical furniture which has a residential, approachable feel.  All guestrooms will feature enhanced technology with a 42 inch LCD television, DVD player, iPod docking station and wifi internet. The hotel will also introduce the brand's signature Link@SheratonSM experienced with Microsoft® experience - a social, technology hub in the lobby where guests can stay connected to what matters most during their stay.

Furthermore, the hotel's Italian restaurant Vivaldi restaurant and bar will also be undergoing a full refurbishment. The new Vivaldi restaurant with design inspired by a Tuscan Villa, is expected to be a popular gathering place for business travelers, residents and other visitors of Dubai.  The Hatta room overlooking the pool and Creek will be turned into an elegant breakfast venue offering a light and airy space.

Sheraton Dubai Creek Hotel is scheduled to re-open in the spring next year.
