Shell Card was recently launched in a grand ceremony at Crowne Plaza. Representatives of reputed corporate houses and senior officials from Shell Oman attended the launch event.
"Shell Card is Oman's "first and only" fully automated fleet management system. Every Shell Card features a microchip with an exclusive PIN number that is encoded with necessary information. It ensures fuel is supplied only to authorised drivers or specified vehicles. Each card can be programmed according to any set limits required by the customer. You can set weekly, daily or monthly consumption limit.
"The state-of-the-art ALPHA SYSTEM in Shell Card gives you complete peace of mind. It enables the card reader to capture transaction details made on the pump automatically, eliminating any form of manual intervention,". At the launch event, a live demonstration was specially arranged to explain the simple, efficient and totally secured method of fuelling the fleet with Shell card.
Shell Card gives you total control over fuel consumption. You receive a monthly invoice and customized fleet management reports with online support. With just a click you get details of transactions online, which are updated regularly. The Shell Card eliminates lengthy paper work, resulting in speed and ease of transaction. Prominently located Shell Service Stations all over the Sultanate accept the card and it offers great savings with flexible credit terms. The Shell card forecourt application is supported by a secure, state-of-the-art back office infrastructure and secured audit process. It ensures confidentiality and high availability of customer data at all times.
Shell Card offers excellent solutions for efficient fleet management with the option of four different cards to meet diverse business needs. The top of the range product is the Gold Card, designed for senior executives, which can manage up to 10 vehicles. Another unique solution is the Fleet Card, which is a vehicle specific card. It provides the owner or fleet manager detailed analyses on the distance travelled, fuel purchase patterns and fuel consumption. For compact businesses, the Fuel Card is an ideal solution. It's an optional card, which can be made open, driver, vehicle, department, equipment or site specific.
