Batelco on target to be amongst the first in the world to use End to End NGN technology
Batelco has presented certificates to 14 staff, following their successful completion of MSAN (Multi Service Access Network) training at Batelco Training Centre at Hamala. This is the second group this month to complete the training programme.
The MSAN training is taking place to support Batelco's NGN (Next Generation Network) project to ensure that staff are up to date with the necessary emerging telecommunications technologies. The training will give Batelco staff the required operational knowledge to enable them to operate and manage the access component of the NGN.
The NGN project and training courses are carried out in conjunction with Huawei Technologies, which is Batelco's partner in rolling out the next generation telecommunication network in Bahrain. Huawei is a leader in next generation telecommunication network provision and is committed to providing innovative and customised products, services and solutions to create long-term value and potential growth for its customers. It is anticipated that Batelco will be one of the first telecommunication companies in the world to use end-to-end NGN technology when the project is complete later this year.
Batelco Networks General Manager Ebrahim Zainal presented the certificates to the successful trainees, who are from different departments namely, Networks Development & Operations, Training Centre, NOC (Network Operation Centre), Business Data Assurance and Helpdesk.
