50% increase in space, more than 250 participants from 64 countries
Dubai, United Arab Emirates - 6th December 2009: H.E. Sami Dhaen Al Qamzi, Director General, -Department of Economic Development - Government of Dubai, has inaugurated the second edition of Dubai Drink technology Expo today. The event, organized by INDEX Conferences & Exhibitions Org Est, will continue for three days at the Dubai International Convention and Exhibition Center.
The Department of Economic Development (DED) is officially supporting DDTE 2009 through its arm, Dubai Export Development Corporation (EDC) and is exclusively participating with pavilion at the exhibition. DED's participation will encourage further local and regional beverage companies to participate in DDTE as a unique regional beverages event.
"Hosting the second edition of Dubai Drink Technology Expo from the 6th - 8th of December 2009 is an imperative gesture of support and development to this vital sector of the food industries. This big event represents the first exhibition of non alcoholic beverage technology and liquid food in the Middle East and North Africa and will provide unique opportunities for international companies to showcase their products within this sector in the world markets. The Dubai Drink Technology Expo has the full support of the Ministry of Economy in the UAE, the Federation of UAE Chambers of Commerce and Industry in collaboration with the Jebel Ali Free Zone Authority in Dubai together with the Naturalizations and Residency Department - Dubai as a strategic partner in establishing this event."
The participation of sixty-four countries in this event highlights the importance of it for both the economy and the trade sectors, in addition to the participation of many international companies specialized in manufacturing non alcoholic beverage technology, and the liquid food industry. And it is worth mentioning that the indicators available for the beverage sector in the Gulf Arab Countries have registered an annual increase in 2008 by 6.7% for the manufacture of bottled water and 7.2% for instant tea products, 8.3% for energy drinks and 6.2% for liquid milk, and 5.5% for juices, and 5.2% for carbonated drinks and 4.1% for dairy and 1.7% for tea" his Excellency added.
Pioneers in beverages industry from more than 64 countries have shown great interest in participating in DDTE 2009 including France, Italy, Korea, USA, Hong Kong, Germany, Austria, China, and Bangladesh among others. Companies like SupplyCore Middle East, SACMI Group, Sidel, Horwal Group, Sure International, Altronix Solutions, and Integrated Packaging Systems FZCO among other leading names in the industry have confirmed their participation in DDTE 2009.

It will focus on topics related to market trends and growth in beverages industry, industry challenges and solutions, protect the environment and going green in the beverages industry in addition to other success stories.
Business to Business (B2B) meetings Program will be held in the exhibition to increase the interaction between trade visitors and exhibitors. It is a matching program that assists in enhancing business and trading deals during the event.
Dubai Drink Technology Expo presents worldwide range of products and services in the area of beverage technology and liquid food.
