Indian national, Mohammad Haneefa Ashraf, holder of coupon number 57445 wins the second DSS shopping promotion draw of 500,000 dirhams
Dubai - The second Dubai Summer Surprises 2007 raffle draw (Shop & Win Millions) to win AED 500,000 cash prize went to Mohammad Haneefa Ashraf whose coupon number 57445 won him the second draw of this 10 draw promotion, being held across 10 weeks of DSS. The second draw of the promotion was held at Deira City Centre on Thursday.
In its second week, DSS 2007 is truly in full swing, with visitors from outside the UAE as well as residents from across the nation thronging the malls and shopping as if there is no tomorrow. Ibrahim Saleh, COO, DSS said: "Last week, we had 250,000 coupons in the draw and this week, we estimate that the number has gone up substantially. Sales across the malls are high and we expect the momentum of the promotion to increase even more." The 21 participating malls of the Dubai Shopping Malls group are also hosting a series of events and the combination of shopping promotions and entertainment is drawing families to the malls in large number.
Speaking at the draw, Eisa Adam Ebrahim, President of DSMG said: "Winning 500,000 dirhams is a dream come true for anyone and we, in partnership with DSS are making this possible for 10 people this summer. This is a never before opportunity for shoppers to get some of the best bargains of the year and also get rewarded."
Shoppers, as previously announced, will get one coupon for every 200 dirhams worth of purchases across 21 participating malls in Dubai. Purchases made using MasterCard credit cards will automatically get 3 coupons for every 200 dirhams worth of purchases.
The winners of the promotion are also being announced live on TV by Sama Dubai.
