- 9,200m2 store located at Al Safeer Mall, Airport Road

Ras Al Khaimah, UAE, 27th July 2011: Today, Carrefour opens its second hypermarket in Ras Al Khaimah, as the retailer expands its reach across the Emirates. Located in Al Safeer Mall on Airport Road, the new hypermarket covers an area of 9,200m2, representing more than 31 per cent of the mall's leasable space, and offers customers a range of more than 25000 products across fresh food and groceries, consumer electronics, household goods, clothing and accessories, personal and beauty care, and other sectors.  

Henry Changeux, GCC Country Head of Carrefour said: "We opened our first hypermarket in Ras Al Khaimah in Manar Mall in September 2000, and since then, we have been looking to bring Carrefour choice and value to many more people across the Emirate. With the opening of the hypermarket in Al Safeer Mall, we can do just that."

Mr. Changeux: "This opening is part of an ongoing expansion for Carrefour not just here in the UAE, but across the Middle East region."

The Carrefour Hypermarket at Al Safeer Mall echoes the offering of Carrefour Hypermarkets across the region, with a clear focus on quality, variety and value-for-money.  The store will also run special opening offers during Ramadan.

Recognized as one of the most active shopping concept developers in the region, the Majid Al Futtaim group first introduced the Carrefour hypermarket model to the Middle East in 1995.
