Recognized for Saudi Telecom Company (STC) Data Center Solution

Schneider Electric, the global specialist in energy management was today announced the proud winner of the iCMG IT Infrastructure award for its Tier IV* data center solution for Saudi Telecom Company (STC) at the prestigious iCMG Enterprise and IT Architecture Excellence Awards 2012.
The award was presented by iCMG, Chief Architect and CEO Sunil Dutt Jha during the Architecture World Summit that took place from 25 - 26 July at the the Sheraton in Bangalore, India. Schneider Electric won the industry distinction amidst stiff competition from 19 nominations.

Built around Schneider Electric's InfraStruXure architecture, the industry's most comprehensive integrated power, cooling and management solution for datacenters, the state-of-art data center takes the integrated systems to a higher level of performance by offering reduced operating costs and greater comfort and safety.
The STC data center's electrical and mechanical systems are monitored and managed centrally. By using the Schneider Electric BMS solution, STC was able to minimize the infrastructure cost, as well as the installation and operating cost. The centralized redundant solution ensured the availability of the system while realizing a considerable energy saving.

Our expert jury had to work within a comprehensive framework when making their assessments, and although all of the submissions were of a very high standard, Schneider Electric's STC solution was rightfully singled out."
Winners of the iCMG Awards for 2012 were selected by an expert panel which included John A. Zachman, Inventor of Enterprise Architecture; Steve Towers, Author, Founder and CEO BP Group; Jon Kern, Agile Manifesto Co-Author, Co-Founder TogetherSoft; Christopher Blake, Director iCMG, and Sunil Dutt Jha, Chief Architect and CEO, iCMG.
Now in their third year, the iCMG Enterprise and IT Architecture World Summit and Awards, are widely recognized as one of the industry's most prestigious events. This year's event saw the introduction of some new award categories including 'CIO to CEO transformation 2012' and 'Best Software Architecture in IT Products'.
The evaluation process consisted of three rounds. In the first round of competition, submissions were reviewed by a core committee, with qualifying entries moving to the second round. In round two submissions were reviewed by jury members independently, there scores determining the finalists in each category. In the final round of judging, jury members combined their scores to determine the winner in each category.
