Schlumberger delivers integration between GIS and online A&D applications on IndigoPool.com
HOUSTON - Schlumberger Information Solutions (SIS) and ESRI today announced the first fully Web-compliant e-business implementation of ESRI's geographic information system (GIS) software for the oil and gas industry on Indigopool.com, the leading global acquisition and divestiture (A&D) online marketplace and part of the SIS group. The implementation integrates ESRI's industry-leading GIS software with IndigoPool's proven A&D technology to bring increased functionality, flexibility and speed to IndigoPool clients.
This end-to-end implementation combines the advanced mapping capabilities of ESRI's Internet map server software (ArcIMS) with the robust database benefits of Oracle technology through ESRI's proven spatial database engine (ArcSDE) server software, which enables proprietary data to be interactively incorporated into maps. The ESRI implementation gives IndigoPool clients fast and easy access to a broad range of data, which includes cultural, land grid, well, production, seismic, lease and gravity/magnetic surveys. They can intuitively move between high-quality map-based data selections, non-GIS e-business asset catalogs and E&P data rooms, enabling them to identify and investigate assets and data, and to provide visual confirmation of selections made through non-GIS means, in support of A&D decisions.
