Dubai Municipality recently received a delegation from the Holy Makkah headed by Dr. Ibrahim bin Sulaiman Abdullah, general supervisor of information technology and strategic planning, in order to exchange the experiences and practices applicable in the field of quality management and organizational excellence based on the principle of cooperation between government departments in Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC).
The delegation was received by Eng. Maryam Al Hammadi, director of corporate excellence department, Fatima Al Shamsi, head of operations management and business systems and Nahla Minshawi, senior planning and policy specialist from planning and institutional organization section.
The delegation was briefly introduced about the work and functions of Dubai Municipality related to the organizational structure, which include the best practices. The officials also briefed about the practices of Dubai Municipality in the field of strategic planning, operation management, used systems and most important themes to be taken into account in the application of operations management.
The delegation also discussed the impacts of getting international certification such as ISO 9001 in terms of the organization of working mechanisms.
Both bodies also conferred the ways of cooperation and emphasized the need of developing relations through exchange of visits, knowledge and successful best practices applied by both parties.
