Muscat - Samsung torch bearers will start the journey of their lives as the Oman Torch Relay kicks off today.  Sulaf Fawakherji, Salah Zadjali, Saad Al Shemmari ,  Batal Al Qaws, Mohammed Mansour and Minsoo Saher are set to embark on the historic journey with the start of the relay at 5:00PM Muscat local time.

Mr. Ranjan Mazmudar, Vice President of Samsung Gulf Electronics comments: "Samsung is thrilled to be part of the Beijing 2008 Olympic Torch Relay here in Muscat. The day has finally arrived to witness one of the most anticipated moments of the year. We are honored to have our torch bearers present here with us today. Under the slogan of "Light the Passion, Share the Dream", Samsung's torch bearer will pass the Olympic flame through Oman before it reaches its next stop in Islamabad, Pakistan. The Olympic Flame will be lit in Muscat at Al Bustan roundabout, passing through historical sites of the city reach to its final destination at Al Qurum Park.
