Mirbat, Oman - December 19th, 2010 - The 5-star rated Salalah Marriott Resort, the first Marriott Hotel in the Sultanate of Oman welcomed a new General Manager to its management team.

Michel Pierre Sursock has joined Salalah Marriott Resort as General Manager. He has started his career in 1977 in the room division department and focused his career on Sales and Marketing. Sursock has worked as a Director of Sales and Marketing and held senior executive roles in various leading 5-star properties in Saudi Arabia, Morocco, Lebanon and Doha.

In 2007 Michel was assigned as the pre-opening General Manager of the Royal Tulip Mirbat Resort & Spa in Salalah that was later to become the first Marriott Resort in the Sultanate. He had spent two years in Oman, developing a keen knowledge of the Omani market and forging strong relationships in the community. Salalah Marriott Resort is now delighted to welcome Sursock to the Marriott family. With over 30 years of rich experience in the hospitality industry, encompassing Sales, Marketing and Operations, Sursock will be a driving force in accelerating the hotel's performance and positioning.
