United Arab Emirates, Dubai- 21st March 2007:  SAE Institute, unique in the UAE for providing high end training in Audio Engineering, Multimedia & Web Design, Digital Film Making, Graphic Design and Digital Animation, has taken yet another important step by partnering with EmiratesMac, the only Mac User Group based in the UAE. EmiratesMac will conduct a series of training workshops open to the public focusing on Apple Mac basic applications at SAE Institute's premises in Dubai Knowledge Village.

SAE Institute's students will also benefit from these workshops. They primarily work on Mac's because a lot of the high end software solutions taught in their courses are only available on Mac. Examples are the industry leaders Apple Logic and Final Cut Pro. The EmiratesMac workshops will further enhance their Apple experience by teaching more consumer oriented products such as iPhoto and iTunes.

The workshops will begin with an 'Introduction to Mac OS X' - Apple's operating system and 'iLife' - a highly integrated software suite that comes on every new Mac.

Through the Mac OS X course, participants will learn the basics of logging in, familiarize themselves with the interface, open and save files, handle simple maintenance, get online amongst other essential elements of using a Mac.

The iLife workshop introduces a range of interesting skills including how to manage and edit photos, create simple movies, burn DVDs, create simple web pages, or create and manage a library, using the various iLife applications.
