Dubai - The Market's activities for Dubai Summer Surprises (DSS) themed "Million Dirham Smiles" feature a variety of events each week that cater for children of all age groups as well as their parents. As part of The Market's Knowledge Surprises, the Road and Transport Authority (RTA) will be conducting two seminars on road safety at the shopping centre, located at Green Community on Emirates Road.
"We are very pleased to be able to host the 'Road Safety Awareness' seminars at "The Market" this DSS, it plays an important role in educating children about traffic basics and safe roads," said Carol Grebe, Retail Manager, "The Market". "Parents and teachers should increase their communication with the children on the messages of road safety and traffic rules periodically and in various modes."
A representative from the RTA conducted a road safety seminar on Wednesday, August 1 covering topics such as pedestrian training for children, cycling awareness training, safe driving & traffic calming giving shoppers at "The Market" the opportunity to address any queries. On Thursday, August 2 kids will be treated to free gifts and toys between 11am and 1pm; and on Sunday, August 5, the RTA representative will be back at "The Market" from 3pm to 5pm to host another seminar that will focus on developing a road safety plan, road crash problems and economic perspective on road safety.
"The Market" hosted Heritage Surprises last week that featured Falcon Display, Arabic Henna and Sand Bottle Designs of Arabian artwork. The shopping centre offers a friendly atmosphere and wide range of retail, cafés and restaurants. Shoppers at "The Market" range from the residents in the surrounding neighborhoods, hotel guests who seek to entertain their children during their stay and other visitors to the area.
