With the launch of the new Bosch ESI[tronic] Software in the Gulf region, vehicle diagnostics become easier, quicker and more cost effective
The world's most comprehensive diagnostic program
• ESI[tronic] 2.0: diagnostic results and detailed information with just a mouse click.
• New software released with a simple and clearly structured interface.
• Standardized ESI[tronic] interface for passenger cars and commercial vehicles.
Dubai, 15 April 2012 - Technological innovation continues to be at the centre of the Bosch's strategy in the Arabian Gulf. For this reason, the world's largest supplier of automotive components recently launched in the GCC region ESI[tronic] 2.0 diagnostic software, which represents major significant benefits for vehicle workshops in terms of cost and time efficiency for vehicle diagnostics and repairs. The new software is the updated version of the workshop software ESI[tronic] and provides the diagnostic, troubleshooting and repair instructions needed for vehicle repairs and service in a clearly presented format. At the core of the new operational concept is a simpler operating structure, making ESI[tronic] 2.0 the world's most comprehensive diagnostic software.
While the new version of ESI[tronic] will be available in the Gulf region by June 2012, more than 75,000 vehicle workshops in over 100 countries are already subscribed to the modular software package. In Germany, almost two thirds of workshop mechanics use Bosch's ESI[tronic] software, which presents the possibility to select among 24 languages. Yet, what makes the new software even more universal is the current and continuously growing number of installed vehicle systems and repair instructions. The program covers over 230,000 vehicles made by over 150 vehicle manufacturers, while each quarterly update adds around 1,500 new systems to the ESI[tronic] data, including new information about existing systems. This allows the Information System ESI[tronic] to recognize practically any vehicle model and supply the workshop with comprehensive information.
"Comprehensive and up-to-date information is particularly important when considering a diagnostic program for the GCC market," said Guido Gring, Vice President of Automotive Aftermarket, Sales Independent Aftermarket Middle East, Africa "Here the supply of the most diverse systems and the above average use of private vehicles greatly differs from the European markets. Moreover, the modular structure of ESI(tronic) 2.0 makes it suitable for every workshop and compatible with any business, including the repair of passenger cars, vans or trucks," he continued.
In addition to the technical data offered by ESI[tronic] 2.0 a vast data base of Bosch spare parts information is available to assist the workshop in identifying correct parts for the vehicle repairs being performed. The broader knowledge and compatibility of systems the diagnostic program is provided with, the better revenues are expected for the repair workshops of the GCC. On the other hand, the simpler interface of ESI[tronic] 2.0 makes it much quicker and thereby also cost-effective to use with Bosch's comprehensive range of KTS diagnostic testers. Such new interface takes the user to the required guidelines in fewer clicks of the mouse. The system search provides a clear outline of all control units listed by topics, along with all stored errors. Shortcuts allow the user to instantly switch between the different types of information the workshop software package offers.
ESI[(tronic] 2.0 is based on Bosch's extensive know-how in the development of automotive systems which comprises 22 years of experience in ECU diagnostics and 350 engineers and technicians all over the world, working on the development of the software. The extensive information contained in Bosch's ESI[tronic] 2.0 software covers not only Passenger cars but also Light commercial vehicles, heavy commercial vehicles, buses and trailers. Users can register and download the ESI[tronic] 2.0 on their computers, with up to three computer devices per user made possible. However, in order for the vehicle workshop user to gain maximum benefits they must have a Bosch KTS diagnostic tester. The registration of users' information on Bosch's company database not only contribute to shield user's rights and avoid mimicry, but it also guarantees updated data to the user.
