Dubai: UAE-based media firm Concept Media today announced the launch of RetailME, the region's first business-to-business retail publication. A bi-monthly, RetailME is published by Concept Media in association with EMAP PLC, publishers of the UK's premier retail magazines - Retail Week and Retail World. The magazine is the first of its kind in the Middle East to cater to the region's retail sector.

The current aggressive pace of retail growth in the region demands a platform from which retailers can exchange information and opinions on the various opportunities and threats to the market. RetailME is poised to act as this platform providing a distinctly local and international perspective on retail development in the Middle East. With a purely retail, B2B focus, the magazine will deliver the most up-to-date news.

"The magazine's extensive coverage of local and international news, combined with a broad spectrum of different retail views, ensures that RetailME will be an invaluable resource to retailers and suppliers to the retail trade throughout the region and beyond," said Mark Faithfull, Editor, RetailME. The magazine incorporates views and reviews from industry experts in addition to its distinctive sections, including: Retail News, Retail Solutions, Retail Recruitments and Retail Services.

According to Faithfull, RetailME will be the authoritative voice on the concerns and opportunities facing the retail industry. As a publication, RetailME approaches retail stories with insight and candor. With local and international correspondents, RetailME is set to bridge the information gap in the Middle East's retail sector and create a fluid exchange and dissemination of pertinent retail information between the Middle East and the rest of the world.

RetailME's inaugural issue features an in-depth analysis of Dubai's retail formula; as well as an assessment of whether this formula can be successfully applied across the Middle East. The RetailME launch issue also follows Carrefour's expansion into the East and examines the growing trend to source products from China. The magazine is currently available across newsstands in the GCC.
